Slipper lobster
In Japan, distributed from the Boso Peninsula southwards. Around the Ryukyu Islands, found on coral reefs at around 30 meters depth. Its carapace is reddish brown and is shaped like a cicada, this gives it its Japanese name semiebi. They can grow to more than 25 cm in length and weigh over 1 kg. It has a lot of meat and is delicious.
