Scalloped spiny lobster
In Japan, distributed from the Izu Peninsula southwards. Reaches 30 cm in length. They can live at depths of 90 meters, but most live on coral reefs in crevices or mud at depths between 1 to 5 meters. Its body is bluish-purple with patterns of reddish brown, and blue patterns around the eyes. They are often stuffed and sold as ornamental displays.
