In Okinawa, this shrimp is found at depths near 600 meters. It is a species of the Pandalidae shrimp, and is known to spew out a blueish white luminous liquid when startled. This species has a distinct arched back. This species is relatively large type of Pandalidae shrimp. They are also delicious.
