Blotchy swell shark
The blotchy swell shark is a species of catshark (Scyliorhinidae family) that reaches over 1 meter in length. Its body has thick bands and when it becomes an adult it can be distinguished by its prominent dark spots. When it is threatened, it sucks water in its stomach and expands its body. This species is oviparous and lays milky-white eggs that will hatch after approximately in 9 months when in water at 18 degrees Celsius.
