Basket star species

A species of basket star (order Euryalida) which are a type of brittle star (class Ophiuroidea)
 which are in the phylum Echinodermata. Its five legs branch out over 20 times. It spreads out its legs like a net and catches plankton and small fish that drift by. The surface of its body is covered with minute granules. In Japan it is found off of the Pacific coast south of Sagami Bay at depths from 40 to 880 meters.
