Oriental spear lobster

In 2003, this species was found offshore of Uruma City, Okinawa. It was the first individual recorded in Japan. Its new Japanese name Okinahakoebi comes from its white body. This species has also been collected from depths between 400 and 650 meters. It can be easily distinguished from the Japanese spear lobster (Linuparus trigonus) by its whiteish color and shorter second antennae.
