Roundbelly cowfish

The roundbelly cowfish is a species of boxfish that produces toxic mucus to protect itself. Juvenile fish have a translucent rounded abdomen which flattens as it matures. It feeds on crustaceans hidden in the sand. The roundbelly cowfish, will sometimes squirt water from its mouth to create a hole in the sand.
