Sandy prawn-goby

This species of goby inhabits sandy floors in shallower parts of coral reefs. It reaches 6 cm in length. They are known to live symbiotically with the teppo snapping shrimp Alpheus brevicristatus. Similar to the Gold-specked prawn-goby but the sandy prawn goby has no dark spots on the ventral side of its body.
