Blackstripe basslet

The blackstripe basslet is found from the Izu Peninsular to Taiwan, Palao and in the west Pacific. In Okinawa, it is found in rocky areas at depths around 150 meters. It has a distinctive black horizontal stripe across its yellow body. It often fights with other fish of the same species, making it difficult to keep in groups.
