Abyssal searobin
The abyssal searobin is widely distributed from Niigata to the East China Sea, Taiwan and the edge of the continental shelf. In Okinawa, it inhabits sandy areas at depths of around 400 meters. It reaches around 20 cm in length. The inner part of its pectoral fins is a distinctive olive-green. It mainly eats shrimp and crabs.
