Yellow angelfish

In Japan, found from Tanabe Bay in Wakayama Prefecture southwards. They inhabit coral reefs and rocky shores at shallow to medium depths. It reaches 12 cm in length. Their entire body is yellow except for brown patches around the eyes. They are able to change gender, and form harems. Because of their beautiful appearance they are valued and displayed in aquariums. As a species of angelfish, they are relatively easy to feed and care for.
