Faulkner's coral　/　Orange cup coral

In Japan, distributed at low tide lines from the Boso Peninsula southwards. Inhabits shaded areas, such as the underside of rocks, where there are strong currents. A species of sun coral, their tentacles reach out like orange or yellow flowers to feed on plankton.
