Giant mottled eel

The giant mottled eel is widely distributed compared to other eels. They are found along the east coast of Africa, tropical and subtropical regions of the Indo-Pacific. Some reach 2 meters in length. They dwell in holes made in river and lake bottoms, and feed on fish and shrimps.
