Small Life in the Deep Sea
Japanese furrow lobster※Off display.
- Rareness:★★★★★

This species of lobster was documented as a new species and a new genus in Japan. Because the recorded specimens were collected from Tosa Bay, its Japanese name Ryouma ebi was given after Sakamoto Ryouma, a samurai from Tosa. The bases of its second antennae produce a (screeching) sound when rubbed together.
