Shortnose dogfish

A small shark reaching around 40 cm in length. Mainly found at depths of around 300 meters from southern mainland Japan to Okinawa. Its snout is short and rounded. It is an ovoviviparous shark. It gives birth to 4 to 6 live pups at once.
