In Okinawa, they are called naganja or nawakiri because they are capable of cutting nets. Fitting its Japanese name, its body looks like a long sword, and its purple to silvery colors are beautiful. They feed on fish and squid by tearing them with their sharp teeth. They are very difficult to collect and rear.
