Pantropical spotted dolphin

Distributed in subtropical and tropical waters around the world. Their body color and length varies between regions. Off the Japanese coast, they reach 2.3 meters in length. The black and white spots scattered on its body are the origin of its name. They are commonly seen in waters near Okinawa, but there are not many examples of this species in captivity.
