Redblotch razorfish

Inhabits sandy areas at around 20 meters depth. It is less common than similar species, such as the peacock wrasse or the yellowblotch razorfish. The large red spot on the side of its body gives it its name in Japanese (Hinomarutensu). This red spot gradually fades in captivity.
