- Rareness:★★★★★

Threespot dascyllus are observed in shallow rocky areas near anemones. Juveniles have a white spot on either side of their body, and one on their forehead, but when they become adults the white spot on their forehead disappears. Many species of damselfish are known to make a sound during courtship or when fighting for territories. Researchers have observed the threespot dascyllus producing clicking sounds.
