Pygmy killer whales inhabit tropical and subtropical regions around the world. Its head is round with no pronounced beak. There are 8 to 11 teeth on each side of its upper jaw, and 11 to 13 teeth on each side of its lower jaw. There have been few cases of rearing, and little is known about the ecology of this species. In Japan we are the only place to rear the pygmy killer whale.
