Staghorn coral
Typically seen on the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific. Its colonies are tree-like. The genus Acropola is hermaphroditic and most of its species will perform a broadcast spawning. In Okinawa, they are usually known to mass spawn on the night of a full moon or new moon in early summer. They are known for releasing a large number of eggs at once.
