Blotcheye soldierfish

Its distinguishing features are its large scales that resemble a pinecone, and its large eyes. Its body is vivid red. Grows to 20 to 30 cm in length. It is nocturnal. During the day, they group together on coral reefs in dark caves and between rock crevices.
