Orbicular batfish
Juveniles camouflage themselves as a withered leaf and move from one place to another by drifting in the sea. Adults reach 50 cm in length. Adults are found alone or in small groups in shallow areas of coasts and coral reefs. Similar in appearance to the longfin batfish (Platax teira), but the orbicular batfish does not have a black blotch on its abdomen. Juveniles are often spotted in fishing ports.
