White-spotted puffer
Distributed in the tropics of the Indo-Pacific. In Japan, from the Boso Peninsula southwards. Usually found on coral reefs, and reach 45 cm in length. Identified by the white spots scattered on the surface of its entire body. Some spots connect to others forming larger patches. They are omnivorous, and feed on various things such as sponges, corals, sea urchins, starfish, and seaweeds.
