Brown-marbled grouper

Distributed in temperate and tropical zones including southern Okinawa. Found from the coast to deeper water offshore. Its body is reddish. Caution needs to be taken if eating the fish due to the chance of ciguatera, an illness caused by toxins from dinoflagellates.
