Lemon damsel
※Off display.
Commonly seen on coral reef areas of the western Pacific Ocean including the Ryukyu Islands. Found at depths of 1 meter to 14 meters. They are omnivorous, but mainly feed on attached algae. Their entire body is yellow with a little black spot on the upper part of the base of its pectoral fin and gill cover. The Ambon damsel (Pomacentrus amboinensis), looks very similar to the lemon damsel, however the body of the Ambon damsel has a blue tint and the black spot on the upper base of its pectoral fin is much larger.
