Black-axil chromis

Distributed across the Indo-Pacific. In Japan, from Amami Oshima southwards. Its ecology and feeding habits are the same as the Chromis viridis (green chromis), their body color and structure are also similar. They can be distinguished by the black dot on the base of their pectoral fins and a more turquoise body color. They form schools with the Chromis viridis (green chromis) in the aquarium.
