Box jellyfish

This species of box jellyfish is a highly dangerous animal containing strong venom in its tentacles and has caused many injuries in Okinawa. They appear in shallow waters in harbors and at beaches. Some are large with a bell reaching a diameter of 10 cm and tentacles as long as 1.5 meters.
