Snubnose pompano

Inhabits temperate and tropical coasts from southern Japan to the Indian Ocean. A medium-size fish reaching 50 cm in length. They are caught in fixed nets or by line fishing. Juvenile fish under 10 cm swim near the beach, but will move to deeper waters as they grow. Once adults, they form schools offshore. Recently, in Okinawa, they are farmed for food.
