Blackside hawkfish
Lives between coral branches at depths of less than 30 meters. It grows to up to 20cm in length. They are benthic and do not have a swim bladder to adjust their buoyancy. Instead they support themselves with their developed pectoral fins. There are reddish-brown spots on their head which is the origin of the Japanese name.
