Yellowstriped blackfish

Distributed in the Western Pacific and East China Sea. In Japan, from Chiba Prefecture southwards. They look similar to the largescale blackfish (Girella punctata), however, they can be distinguished by a horizontal band on the side of their body. Most Girella found in Okinawa are this species.
