Leopard coralgrouper

Distributed across the Indo-Pacific including south Japan. This swimming grouper inhabits the outer edge of coral reefs and is slightly aggressive. The fish are considered one of the top three Okinawan fish delicacies, and are therefore expensive. They are deliciously prepared as sashimi, soup, or boiled.
