Strawberry conch
- Rareness:★★★★★

Inhabits Japanese eelgrass meadows and coral reef lagoons off of the Boso Peninsula and southwards. Its shell is 5cm in length. It looks similar to the cone shell, however, you can tell the difference by looking at the stromboid notch located at the anterior end of the aperture, where its long stalked eyes protrude from the shell.
It uses its claw-like lid to move across the ocean floor. This species is a popular food, and an important aquatic resource.
