Rainbow runner
- Rareness:★★★★★

Widely distributed in coastal and offshore temperate and tropical waters around the world. In Japan, found mainly around Okinawa. Reaches 1 meter in length. Like skipjack tuna and tuna, they often swim near driftwood and offshore floating artificial reefs. They often enter fixed nets. Individuals caught offshore have less fat and are less valuable. Individuals caught near the coast are rich in fat, delicious, and therefore higher in value at the market. They are particularly delicious during winter. They are called the yamatonagaiyu in Okinawa, because of their long body.
