Dogtooth tuna

A large fish reaching 240 cm in length, but commonly 1 to 2 meters in length. They live relatively near the coast and rocky shores with sudden reef drop-offs. They do not form large schools, but are often found in small groups. This species is popular for game fishing due to its strong pull once caught on the fishing hook. They are edible.
