Purple tipped acropora

It is a common species seen on reef slopes in the Ryukyu Islands. Their tentacles have been observed to extend out during the afternoon. This coral is found in various colors including greenish brown, purple and cream. Breeding by sexual reproduction has been successfully conducted at the Churaumi Aquarium.
