Shortfin turkeyfish / Dwarf lionfish

This species of scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae family) inhabits the shallow areas of coral reefs and rocky shores. It looks similar to other lionfish (Dendrochirus genus) but can be distinguished apart by the spots in the stripes on its pectoral, dorsal and caudal fins. It is a relatively small species reaching around 10 cm in length.
