During Golden Week, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium will host a range of exciting events for all visitors to enjoy.

Did you know the phases of the moon can influence animal behavior?
This exhibition introduces the fascinating reproductive behaviors of corals, fish, and crustaceans through panels, videos, and specimens.
Period: April 25 – May 10 (during opening hours)
Location: 1F, next to the “Waters of the Ryukyu Arc” area
This area can be accessed without aquarium admission.

Discover the mysteries of coral reproduction.
This exhibition features controlled spawning tanks, larval specimens, and even a unique opportunity to experience the scent of coral eggs—offering a deeper understanding of the continuity of life in coral ecosystems.
Period: April 25 – June 30 (during opening hours)
Location: Inside the aquarium

Enjoy the heartfelt sounds of violinist Ryoma, known for “SYURINOUTA,” a piece created with local artists wishing for the restoration of Shuri Castle.
Experience his moving performance set against the backdrop of the massive tank where whale sharks and manta rays gracefully swim.

Ayano Kinjo from the Okinawan duo Kiroro will perform a special live show.
Enjoy a warm and intimate stage featuring piano and vocals in front of the main tank.

On Children’s Day, students (elementary through high school) who purchase an annual passport will receive an original aquarium sticker!
