Sea Turtle Pool
Let’s have fun learning about the life and habits of sea turtles
This pool is home to a variety of turtles from among the eight extant species of sea turtles in the world including the hawksbill, loggerhead and green as well as turtles rarely seen in Japan such as the Olive ridely turtle and the black turtle. From pool level, you can see sea turtles in the water as well as in a sandy spawning area. From a large acrylic panel in the basement observation room, they can be watched as they glide through the water. In addition, a wide variety of research and surveys on the life and habits of sea turtles are introduced through panel displays.
- Visitors are admitted free of charge to the Sea Turtle Pool.
- If you wish to re-enter the aquarium on the same day, please show your admission ticket at the entrance or exit. （Re-entry is possible on the same day）

- Please do not throw anything into the pool.
- Please be careful not to drop objects into the pool as the animals could eat them by accident.
