Whale Shark Sculpture

The Whale Shark Sculpture greets you at the entrance to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. Take a photo in front of the sculpture or the “Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium” sign behind it.
Uminchu Gate

After passing the sculpture, you will encounter the Uminchu (“fisherman” in the Okinawan dialect) Gate, where you can enjoy a view of the ocean and Ie Island. Take an escalator down to the third floor, and you will arrive at the entrance of the aquarium on the right side.

View the Coral Sea and the Sea of Tropical Fish tanks from above, and admire colorful coral and tropical fish in the bright sunshine.
